Directions and Factoids
Directions: Mahoning Creek Lake is only 12 miles southeast of New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and 7 miles northwest of Dayton, Pennsylvania. Follow the brown Mahoning Lake directional signs to the project.

Factoid: Situated among steep sided valleys and forested hillsides, Mahoning Creek Lake is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Blessed with clean water and a varied thriving fish population. In 1971, one of the largest Northern Pike ever recorded (42-7/8”) was reeled in from the waters below Mahoning Dam. Mahoning is also known for its abundant Turkey and Ruffed Grouse populations.

NOTICE: Many states are discouraging or banning movement of firewood to control spread of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). Not bringing wood from home to your campsite and not taking unused wood you procure while camping home with you is recommended -- required in some states.
