Directions and Factoids
Directions: Take Route 28 North from Pittsburgh. Take the exit onto PA Route 28 North/U.S. Route 422
East toward Kittanning/Indiana. Go across bridge and take Exit A to merge onto PA Route 66
South to Ford City. You will drive through Ford City and stay on Route 66 South. Make a left
at Dam Road (State Route 2019)
Factoid: At Crooked Creek Lake we provide multiple recreational opportunities. We have six
pavilions that may be reserved a year in advance for picnics, special events, and
celebrations. There is a 45 site campground for trailers and tents. A public boat/kayak
launch for all water related sports and leisures. Crooked Creek lake is an exceptional
fishery for any fisherman. We also have three PA Game Commission managed food plots
located at the project for public hunting use. Our project amenities consist of
playgrounds, baseball fields, volleyball courts, a dedicated public beach, and a disc golf
course. Crooked Creek Lake suits close to all recreational needs.
NOTICE: Many states are discouraging or banning movement of firewood to control spread of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). Not bringing wood from home to your campsite and not taking unused wood you procure while camping home with you is recommended -- required in some states.
