Directions: From Louisville, 54 miles northeast on I-71, 6 miles north on KY 1039, .2 miles west on KY 42 to Markland Locks & Dam

Factoid: An important navigation feature in the Ohio River System. Sightseers may watch the navigation locking process from an observation tower. There is a picnic shelter, additional picnic tables and restroom facilities. This area is along the Lewis and Clark route.

NOTICE: Many states are discouraging or banning movement of firewood to control spread of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). Not bringing wood from home to your campsite and not taking unused wood you procure while camping home with you is recommended -- required in some states.
