Directions: Located 1/2 mile south of Huntington, IN on IND 5; and 35 miles southwest of Fort Wayne,
IN via I-69.
Lake History
Factoid: J. Edward Roush Lake (formerly Huntington Lake) is a small recreational lake with a large
impact. Just outside of the City of Huntington it provides the perfect outdoor escape
from nearby cities. Day use recreation areas provide views of nature and J. E. Roush Dam,
the only dam of its kind in the state of IN. Surrounding lands are managed as a Fish and
Wildlife Area, providing opportunities to hunt and fish a short distance from the cities of
Huntington and Fort Wayne, IN.
