third of the entire population of the State. The project is operated for flood control,
quality water storage, outdoor recreation, and fish and wildlife preservation and
enhancement. Points of interest include a campground, a 20-mile trail system, a Watchable
Wildlife Area, and a rustic log schoolhouse and log cabin from early 1800 Spencer county.
NOTICE: Many states are discouraging or banning movement of firewood to control spread of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). Not bringing wood from home to your campsite and not taking unused wood you procure while camping home with you is recommended -- required in some states.
