Directions: From Scranton, travel east on US 6. Turn left on PA 170, follow signs to project.
Factoid: Prompton State Park provides a boat launch and picnicking facilities to the 290-acre Lake,
which is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Twenty-six miles of trails surround
the lake and are open to hiking and mountain biking. The lake is open for boating and
fishing and has a 10 hp limit. There is also a disc golf course within the US Army Corps of
Engineers portion of the park.
