Welcome to Lake Discovery Campground. Lake Discovery has been developed to demonstrate to ranger, managers and commanders the key factors that are part of an excellent campground management program. Equipment, products and procedures have been specified and a business plan developed. Products and sources are listed for informational purposes. Their presentation does not suggest product or brand name endorcement.
Operational decisions were based on a business plan designed specifically for Lake Discovery, its location, climate and need to (purpose for facility- provide for visitor enjoyment and serve the future of provinding recreation opportunities for future generations). Lake Discovery is presented as a benchmark. Products, fees, and services are not intended as mandatory requirements, but to invoke comparisons, analysis, and discussion for local improvements. Conditions vary from location to location, and a multitude of products are available that are more than adequate to meet the standard of excellence.
