Directions: Lake Francis Case reservoir extends 110-miles from Fort Randall Dam adjacent to Pickstown, SD, up to Big Bend Dam, adjacent to Ft. Thompson, SD. Fort Randall Dam is located on US Highway 18/281 approximately 1 hour west of Yankton, SD.

Factoid: Fort Randall Dam is located near Pickstown, SD in southeastern South Dakota along the Missouri River. The dam is home to one of America's largest wintering concentrations of bald eagles with the highest concentrations usually from December through February. Above the dam, the 110-mile long reservoir, Lake Francis Case, provides numerous recreational opportunities including camping, fishing, hunting, boating, swimming, hiking, and biking to name a few. There are 19 recreation areas located around Lake Francis Case reservoir ranging from highly developed campgrounds and day use areas to primitive areas.
