Factoid: Surry Mountain Lake offers year round fun for everyone. Swimming, sunbathing, picnicking,
and boating are some of the summertime favorite activities enjoyed at Surry Mountain Lake.
The recreation area offers a 600-foot long sandy beach with a swimming area; a change
house; picnic tables with grills; sanitary facilities; and a boat ramp for those who enjoy
canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and motor boating (no wake). During the winter, visitors
enjoy cross country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Hunting and
fishing are also favorite activities at Surry Mountain Lake.
