Directions: From Concord, 20 miles north on I-93 to Exit 22, south on NH 127, 3 miles to the dam.
Factoid: Sited on the Pemigewasset River near Franklin, this recreation area drains a 1,000 square-
mile watershed that extends all the way to the White Mountains. There are 4,000 acres of
wooded river valley available for recreation. Construction of the dam required the
relocation of the entire village of Hill, NH to higher ground. For up-to-date information,
