FY21 NRM Annual Report

Tasha Alexander, NRM CAP 2022 Have you ever considered applying for the Natural Resources Management Career Assignment Program for HQ? You should! I recently completed an assignment, and it was a great experience. The CAP provides a unique opportunity to gain perspective of our programs from a national level, while working closely with Jeff Krause, Chief of Natural Resources Management and the NRM team. Although I completed the assignment remotely, I was able to make new connections with team members across the Enterprise. During my 6-month term I became a temporary member of the Recreation Leadership Advisory Team, Stewardship Advisory Team, and numerous PDTs. I had the opportunity to assist with the Operational Condition Assessment Policy and support the Recreation Task Force report to Congress. This role improved my understanding of policy and guidance development and allowed me to branch out and expand my professional network. I really enjoyed working with the HQ NRM team!!
