6 November 2014NRM Community Forum - What's NewOn 23 October 2014, as recommended by the Park Ranger Community of Practice (CoP) Advisory Board, the Gateway Team merged the email groups known as the RecNet, InterpNet and ES Net with the Park Ranger Chat feature on the NRM Gateway site. The new site is called the NRM Community Forum. Making this move simplifies communications within the Park Ranger CoP, as well as with other NRM professionals. All members of the current email groups have been added to the NRM Community Forum notification list. So, no more emails from Kevin Ewbank, but Kevin continues to serve as the moderator for the NRM Community Forum. The Forum will automatically send notifications of new questions and answers posted. Of course you will be able to opt out of any notifications. Point your web browser to http://corpslakes.usace.army.mil/ranger s.cfm and look for the NRM Community Forum! One major benefit to this change is the archives feature. Records of all Forum questions and answers are available on the Forum site. These records are searchable by key words and date. We are working to include all previous X.Net inquiries into the archives as well. Another change is that you should send NRM job postings and notifications of Pathways students seeking permanent appointments directly to Ginny Dickerson for posting. The postings will be visible toward the bottom of the Park Ranger CoP main page, and also on the main NRM Gateway home page. All such job postings will automatically roll off when the announcement expires. |
