VERS Modernization Exercise - Date Extended to 13 Nov 09

Dick Kasul

We have heard from people at several projects in the last two weeks who have recently been assigned to the VERS exercise or who have been working on it, but may have difficulty meeting the 31Oct09 submission deadline. To accommodate projects that require a little extra time, the submission deadline is extended another two weeks to Friday 13Nov09. We encourage you to use the additional time to ensure that your recreation area maps and workbook responses are as complete and accurate as possible.

Those of you who were unable to attend a live webcast can now view a recording of the 06Oct09 webcast. It can be accessed from the Webcast item on the Recreation Area and Traffic Meter Characterization webpage at: http://corpslakes.usace.army.mil/employees/usurveys/meter.html.

All map and workbook submissions will be reviewed by ERDC and possibly others to ensure they are fully usable for visitation survey planning purposes. Where questions arise, we will contact the POC listed in the map or workbook file for clarifications.

Projects that have submitted maps and workbooks as of 25Oct09 are shown in the Completion Status file available at the webpage link provided above. Please notify Dick Kasul if your map or workbook submission is not documented in this file.
