28 September 2016NRM Gateway URL ChangeWe have to change the NRM Gateway URL from http://CorpsLakes.usace.army.mil to https://CorpsLakes.erdc.dren.mil because of the Department of Defense network that we use. USACE is on a Army network with different sets of protocols than DoD. Both URLs are active right now so that we can work through the change. There is a notice placed on the front page of the Gateway to indicate a change is coming. Users will be initially affected but the original USACE URL will forward to the new one. OPM Gateway changed over to https://operations.erdc.dren.mil/projmgrs.cfm in July as did the sites restricted to USACE (items behind the castle), including VERS, Rec-BEST, SmartBook, etc. It was a very smooth transition. This does not affect our .us URLs (www.CorpsLakes.us, www.CorpsGateway.us, or www.CorpsRanger.us). We can use these to market to other agencies, partners, general public, etc. make it easier to access the Communities of Practice. Changes are already in the works for partners like Recreation.gov to change any occurrence of CorpsLakes.usace.army.mil to www.CorpsLakes.us. If you have partners that link to the Gateway or a section of the Gateway, please inform them of this change. This change will take place the week of 10 October. If you have any questions, please contact Ginny Dickerson (Virginia.L.Dickerson@usace.army.mil) |
