  1. VERS Modernization

VERS Modernization

The VERS Modernization is ongoing. Projects are currently entering meter readings, tally estimates, and visitation provided by our 3rd party partners. Deadline for FY14 readings is 15 November 2014. At this time, 74 projects have not started entering readings.

If you are unable to enter meter readings, then it may because you still have some quality control flags. Issues will need to be corrected and flags removed before you are able to enter meter readings. Meter entry will close on 16 November 2014 and remain closed until the annual review is complete.

Additional information is needed to assist with the VERS Modernization. Project conservation pool will be pulled from OMBIL; then project will began entering the pool elevation for the last day of the each month on the meter entry screen. This information will be used for trend analysis to see how droughts and floods may impact visitation.

Questions concerning high water and low water elevation closures for boat ramps will be added to the area characteristics. This information may be found in the drought contingency plan.

More QA/QC to come on facilities and campgrounds/multipurpose areas.

Please call or email Dena Williams (615-202-4095), if you have questions.

If you need background information before you begin, this link describes the VERS modernization effort. http://corpslakes.usace.army.mil/employees/usurvey s/modern.cfm

A message board will be added to the VERS Gateway Page to include all past and future messages to the field.
