Park Ranger Gateway GlimpseThe first Park Ranger Gateway Glimpse was issued on 5 December 2012. These will be sent periodically to highlight information of interest to the Park Ranger Community of Practice (PR CoP) that is available on the NRM Gateway. The initial mailing list for the PR CoP Glimpse was to those identified as Park Rangers in the Spring 2012 update of the RecSTATUS Self- Assessment. If you or someone in your office is a member of the PR CoP and did not get the 5 December 2012 Glimpse, you can Share the Experience Employee Photo Contest - Enter by 31 December!By popular demand, a new photo contest for federal employees has been launched. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permanent, term, and seasonal employees and volunteers can show off their best photos of federal recreational lands by entering the first-ever Share the Experience Employee Photo Contest. Here's your chance to share all of the great photos you have taken on federal recreational lands. Enter up to five photos by December 31st to be eligible to win. Ten winners will be selected to receive an America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass. The grand prize winner will also receive a framed version of his or her photo and a copy will be presented to the appropriate agency leadership. An added bonus will be the prestige of having your image also posted on Recreation.gov and other websites showing off the amazing places we protect. Employees and volunteers of the National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, USDA Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, National Archives, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are eligible for the contest.
