  2. Request Review Comments for Draft Invasive Species Policy for all Civil Works Programs

Field Photographs Required.

We are looking for 4-6 high quality photos from each lake, EVERY LAKE.
Due: Next Week by Close of Business January 18

Why:
The Corps of Engineers will participate in the Outdoor Recreation Village as part of Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Arizona.

GET OUDOORS USA! and the American Recreation Coalition (ARC) in conjunction with Forever Resorts, LLC, one of the nation's largest national park concession operators, are providing free "Outdoor Recreation Village" at the Super Bowl XLII, highlighting healthy outdoor recreation opportunities across the country. With hands-on activities and interactive outdoor recreational choices, the Outdoor Recreation Village will be open to the public in the Westgate City Center near the University of Phoenix Stadium from January 31 - February 3, 2008. The National Park Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Environmental Protection Agency, US Fish and Wildlife Service and Bureau of Reclamation will be participating. For more information on the event: See American Recreation Coalition at: http://www.funoutdoors.com/ or Forever Resorts at: http://www.foreveroutdoorvillage.com/. This has been identified as the only FREE event available to the public in association with the Super Bowl.

What are we up to:
The Corps of Engineers will be represented in the Get Outdoors Opportunity Tent. Travel planning opportunities is the event purpose, but we will be sharing water safety and other key Corps messages.

We have launched a Google Earth component of the Corps Lakes Gateway www.CorpsLakes.us (bottom of the page). We will integrate the photos that we receive by lake into the system and use them for short media presentations that will be used at the Outdoor Recreation Village event. We will weave the snapshots together to tell a story about recreation use available on Corps Land and Water resources. We will also use the photos in our E-Card system. Also available on www.CorpsLakes.us.
