New NRM Gateway Page for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)

A new Gateway page addresses Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) use by the public and commercial organizations on USACE managed lands. It also addresses planning for non-USACE UAS operations by the public, UAS incident reporting requirements of unauthorized users, and the use of UAS by other Federal, state and local governments and law enforcement agencies at USACE projects. This new page is listed as Unmanned Aircraft Systems in the Site Index Alphabetical Listing on the NRM Gateway. Due to recent incidents regarding UAS at Corps projects and continuing guidance from Army, USACE recently updated the USACE Commander's Critical Information Requirements (FRAGORD 4 to OPORD 2015-28 - CCIR) and EC 1110-1-109, Acquisition and Operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This guidance, as well as other UAS resources, are now located on the NRM Gateway.

In response to feedback from Corps Park Rangers and the NRM Community, the Park Ranger Community of Practice (CoP) collaborated with HQUSACE and other USACE elements to develop guidance and a new NRM Gateway page for UAS.
