Perceived Visitor Ethnicity Trends

What are some of the ethnicity management needs?

Approximately one-fourth of respondents indicated the need to adjust their recreation management programs to the increasing level of ethnic diversity among recreation visitors. Three-fourths of these managers described a need to improve communication with emerging visitor groups who do not understand English. Managers also noted that these new visitors have different recreation styles and preferences, which put new demands on existing facilities and create a demand for recreation facilities that support recreation activities that may be new to Corps projects.
