    Executive Orders

    • E.O. 12862, Setting Customer Service Standards, September 11, 1993
      Directs federal agencies to deliver a quality of service that is "equal to the best in business". It requires a number of actions by federal agencies including the implementation of customer surveys to determine the kind and quality of service that agency customers want and their satisfaction levels with existing services. Agencies are further directed to report the results of customer surveys to the President and to use this information in judging performance of agency management and in making resource allocations.
