There are two primary strategies for managing invasive plants: proactive and reactive.
It is difficult to mobilize a proactive strategy because this requires the commitment of
scarce resources toward situations that are often lower on the priority scale. However,
early intervention can prevent the need for large-scale management. In this presentation
we will discuss how proactive management is an environmentally and economically sound
solution.
