Dr. Candice Prince, UF/IFAS
15 July 2020

  • Bio Dr. Candice Prince, UF/IFAS

Invasive grasses pose significant management challenges in wetland and aquatic ecosystems. Correct identification of an invasive grass can be difficult due to the unique features of this family. Furthermore, many grass species are able to tolerate a wide range of environmental conditions, which may impact their response to different management strategies. This talk will describe the key features used for grass identification, explain how to distinguish between common native and invasive species, and discuss management strategies for grasses under varied environmental conditions.
