Facilities and Capabilities of the ERDC's LAERF (Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility), Lewisville, TX

    Lynde Dodd is Research Biologist with the U.S Army Corps of Engineers Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) and is stationed at the Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility (LAERF) in Lewisville, TX. As a member of ERDCs Aquatic Ecology and Invasive Species Branchs Ecology Team, her and her teammates research restoration and invasion ecology of freshwater macrophytes and management of invasive aquatic plant species. Much of LAERFs current work includes assistance to COE Districts on Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration for General Investigation or Continuing Authorities Program projects (Section 206 and 1135). Her presentation will highlight the facilities and capabilities of the LAERF for Corps field operations and touch on several current projects where invasive species management and restoration of native aquatic and riparian vegetation are on-going.
