Information:
USA a nonprofit organization comprised of union workers around the country who are dedicated to volunteering their skills and expertise through USA’s Work Boots on the Ground initiative to complete hands-on, community-based volunteer projects to improve public access to the outdoors, enhance wildlife habitats, restore America's parks, and engage youth in the outdoors. USACE and USA have a national MOU to encourage and facilitate volunteer projects at Corps lakes. A few examples of past projects completed by USA’s union volunteers have included rebuilding hiking trail bridges, planting native plant species at wetlands, demolishing deteriorated group picnic shelters/constructing new shelters, and providing hands-on fishing or shooting instruction for youth. http://unionsportsmen.org/ If you have a volunteer project in need of skilled volunteers, please fill out the ACOE Project Form.doc attachment, and send to Sam Phipps at SamP@unionsportsmen.org or Cody Campbell at codyc@unionsportsmen.org to submit your requests for assistance from USA volunteers.
