What's New in 2008?

Beginning in 2008 the requirements for conducting Comment Card surveys have been adjusted to make it mandatory for projects to conduct surveys only every third year - the surveys will be optional in 2008 and 2009 and mandatory in 2010. See this memorandum for details. For those projects choosing to do surveys in 2008 the procedures will be identical to last year. No changes have been made to the comment card or the survey schedule generator.

Changes in tools for recreation area surveys:

• The survey questionnaire has been revised. Discard any copies of the previous questionnaire and print fresh copies of the new one for use this year.
• The Survey Schedule Generator For Recreation Areas has been revised and updated to produce schedules for surveys from April 2008 through March 2009. Be sure to download and use the new Survey Schedule Generator for developing a survey plan for this year.

Survey tools for the FY07-08 survey year have been moved to make way for the FY08-09 survey tools and procedures. To enter data collected as part of the 2007 survey after June 30, 2008, you must access data entry for FY07-08 via the Procedures Archive
