    Life Jacket Loaner Program Guidelines
The attached memorandum and document provides guidelines for the Corps Life Jacket Loaner Program. These guidelines have been developed by our National Operations Center for Water Safety and are based, in part, on the successful loaner programs currently in place at many of our projects. This memo does not mandate the use of life jacket loaner stations, but it does address minimally acceptable standards if local managers decide to implement such a program. I encourage all OPMs to consider implementing life jacket loaner programs at their projects, where you feel it is practical. Please forward this message to other offices and team members as appropriate. Questions should be directed to Lynda Nutt, Program Manager, National Operations Center for Water Safety, at (208) 699-5944, Lynda.G.Nutt@usace.army.mil or Rachel Garren, Assistant Program Manager, National Operations for Water Safety, at 618-632-7628, Rachel.J.Garren@usace.army.mil. Thanks all. Been a long summer for many of you, I know. Perhaps this is one option you could implement where it hasn't been before that could help. Mike
