National Public Lands Day Results - SUS 17 Oct 2025
Thank you to all of those who have registered your National Public Lands Day (NPLD) events through the NEEF website! If you are planning to hold a NPLD event and have not yet registered on their site, please do so to make sure you are included in the final data reported. Visit: https://www.neefusa.org/what-we- do/conservation/national-public-lands-day/national-public-lands-day-site- managers to register your event.

We are quickly approaching NPLD, and I am sure you are busy coordinating all the moving parts for these events. Your hard work and dedication to ensure they go on seamlessly is greatly appreciated.

As of now we have: 46 projects participating, with an anticipated 7,644 volunteering at 257 sites (PSA/Parks). I know we can beat these numbers so be sure to register an event!

There are a few things we ask of you following NPLD to help us tell your story. The information you provide is shared across HQ and will be utilized to showcase the great work you are accomplishing in the field. These events also demonstrate the importance of community engagement and how crucial our volunteers are to accomplishing our mission.

Please use the attached spreadsheet to gather the following information:

  • # staff participating
  • # of volunteers
  • volunteer hours
  • # of tires removed
  • pounds of trash collected
  • miles of roadways cleaned
  • miles of shoreline cleaned
  • # of facilities built or maintained
  • Pieces of infrastructure built or maintained
  • Accessibility features built or maintained
  • miles of trail maintained
  • acres of habitat restored
  • number of trees/shrubs planted
  • square feet of invasive plants removed
  • # bird/bat boxes installed
  • # of partners involved
  • list of partners
  • number of sites
  • number of work projects
  • event description

In addition to the data, we would like to collect any storyboards/AARs/photos that people have from their events. Please send the spreadsheet along with your storyboards through your district and MSC’s. If the MSC’s could please consolidate their data and send it on my way. Suspense on this effort will be COB on 17 October.

Thank you all! Have fun and be safe!
