We should be proud that our programs directly contribute to the $1.2 TRILLION outdoor recreation industry! There is very important messaging here that demonstrates how important our program is for the country. You should make yourself familiar with your relevant stats from the Value to the Nation site as well. This makes a great elevator speech. In addition to quality-of-life benefits to the millions of Americans that use our lands & waters, we contribute SIGNIFICANTLY to the US Economy. Overall, the Outdoor Rec Industry contributes $1.2 TRILLION (2.3% of GDP) to the economy and 3.1% of all jobs! It just rolls off the tongue.
