RecAssessment is OPEN. Closes 30 November to the field
As you’re aware, the very important process of collecting necessary performance and programmatic data occurs every year around this time prior to the budget development period. As we prepare for FY25 budget development, our intention is to have RecAssessment data and roll up report prepared in time for ACTUAL USE in the budget development process (novel concept, eh?). This has been a goal in the past but always tough to pull off because of tight timelines around the holidays. This year we are going to try to pull it off and we have opened the RecAssessment module today and it will remain open for field input until the end of the month. On Dec 1, it will close to the field and be available for District/MSC QA until 9 December. At that time, HQ and ERDC will compile all the data, combined with other sources such as VERS, OCA, CEFMs, etc to produce the RecAssessment Roll Up Report, which will be shipped off to RecCWIFD development team on or about 19 December. This should give the CWIFD Dev team enough time to incorporate into our submodule and give us a very brief amount of time for testing.

This timeline is incredibly tight, and delays may cause some schedule issues, but it is a worthy goal. I will follow up with pertinent information you can forward to your districts and projects, but for now, you can let your users know it is open and we’ll be scheduling trainings for new users, as nothing in the system has changed and experienced users should be able to get in there an go!
