National Boating Federation's Water Safety Award Winners
It is my pleasure to announce the winners of the 2020 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Water Safety Awards from the National Boating Federation:
National USACE Water Safety Employee of the Year - Ms. Juanita Souther, Park Ranger, John H. Kerr Lake, Wilmington District National USACE Water Safety Team of the Year - Huntington District Water Safety Team
These awards recognize a USACE employee and team that have contributed to boating and water safety in an effective manner that has made a difference in saving lives on our nation's waterways. Ms. Souther and the Huntington District Water Safety Team will be recognized at the National Water Safety Conference award ceremony on 6 April 2020 in Fort Worth, TX. We received exceptional nominations this year and all are worthy of recognition. I appreciate your staff taking the time to nominate and recognize all of those that effectively promote boating and water safety. The USACE Division Water Safety Award winners will also be recognized during the award ceremony and include the following:
