National Boating Federation's National Water Safety Awards
I would like to take this opportunity to announce a new award program by the National Boating Federation (NBF) that will recognize a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) employee and team for the extraordinary work that they have done to promote water safety and save lives on our nation's waterways. Water safety is one of our top priorities, so this is an excellent opportunity to recognize those that have done a great job promoting water safety by creating and implementing initiatives, utilizing available resources, sharing information effectively, developing partnerships, maintaining and improving recreation facilities, and much more.
The NBF wishes to honor an outstanding USACE employee and team with a National Boating and Water Safety Award. These awards will be presented annually to recognize an outstanding individual and team for their significant contributions to boating and water safety.
As stated in the attached criteria, nominations must be submitted through District Operations Chiefs to their respective MSC for consideration. Division Operations Chiefs should submit one nomination for each award to Pam Doty, National Water Safety Program Manager, NLT 06 December 2019. Nominations will be evaluated on the basis of content that should concisely describe innovative performance and specific accomplishments, during the current year only, towards promoting boating and water safety. Pam Doty is the point of contact regarding this award program and can be reached at pamela.j.doty@usace.army.mil or 817-886-1727.
Thank you for all that you do to promote water safety and save lives!
Respectfully,
Jeff
